Also known as Belle Plaine-Hutchinson-Monticello in the RUSA Database

This is a 300k route that begins in the Western suburbs of the Twin Cities.  It passes through the outer ring into the Minnesota River Valley and through relatively flat country to the towns of Green Isle, Glencoe, and Hutchinson.  It then turns north and winds up to the towns of Annandale and Monticello passing Clearwater Lake, Lake Maria State Park and Lake Rebbecca Park Reserve before making its way back to the Twin Cities via Delano.

This route (as all 300ks) will possibly require some night riding.  It is essential to have decent repair skills as much of the route is extremely remote (e.g. please know how to fix a flat, patch a tire, etc).  There are bike shops in Hutchinson and Delano, but do not count on them being open.  Controls are for the most part 24 hour, but it is highly recommended to start this route early in the morning to enjoy it and ensure that services are available.

The route can be ridden in either direction (clockwise or counter clockwise) with clockwise being the more popular.
